Where will I live?

Where will I live
Our Accommodation Office can help you find somewhere to live close to UCF – all of our local properties are between 5 and 15 minutes' walk from the campus.

Most of the places to live that we deal with in Folkestone are 'headleased' properties. We've found flats and houses for you, taking from two to five people - so you could be somewhere with plenty of peace and quiet to study, or in the middle of a busy, social crowd, depending on what you prefer.

All headleased accommodation has fully-equipped communal kitchens, which include cooker, fridge/freezers, toaster, kettle and ironing facilities. Our properties don't all have washing machines, but launderettes are close by.

Internet access is also available, and properties have secure key access to ensure your safety and security for your belongings.

How much will it cost?

Rooms are priced according to size and vary from about £85 per week to about £96 per week. Most contracts are for 39 weeks from the start of your course, so for one year you can expect to pay between £3,315 and £3,744 - but bear in mind prices can change and you may have to pay more or find new accommodation if you decide to stay on in Folkestone over your summer holiday.

How do I apply for accommodation?

Our Accommodation Office can help you to find somewhere to live whilst studying at UCF. There are cut-off dates for applying for our accommodation and there can be a lot of demand, so make sure you apply as early as you can to give yourself the best chance of getting the accommodation you want.
