Our emphasis is on the 'creative' part of the 'creative industries'

We want students who will bring their creative energy and dynamism to a place which is already buzzing, bringing a new vibrancy to the town.  We are part of a much bigger picture - the regeneration of Folkestone - and we’re proud of it.

We live in the heart of the Creative Quarter - Folkestone's regeneration area.  There’s an exciting mix of creative businesses here, from film-makers to florists, ceramicists to street theatre, giving students a lively culture and a rich artistic resource - on their doorstep.

Courses in Professional and Career Development:

• FD / BA Hons Childhood Studies
• FD / BA Hons Early Years

There are a number of courses at the University Centre Folkestone that aim to 'professionalise' people already working in some areas in which a higher qualification will make a world of difference to their career development: degree programmes in Childhood Studies and Early Years will bring a new level of expertise to work those students are already doing in our community.
