Bridging Course in Visual Arts & Design

University Centre Folkestone and The Cube, Tontine Street, Folkestone


This course is designed for students who need a little more experience before entering one of the BA (Hons) Visual Arts & Design programmes at UCF.

 

The course is delivered in partnership with Kent Adult Education, by staff at the nearby CUBE studios, and can be taken in two forms:

Visual Arts Class

 

Full-time:
4 weeks: 24th August – 18th September

Part-time: one day a week over one academic year: week beginning 14th September Tuesdays 10.00 am – 3.00 pm for 30 weeks.

 

The Bridging Course in Art & Design provides an excellent opportunity to build your confidence and develop the basic skills essential for successful engagement in the visual arts. In particular, you will learn ways of observing and recording visual information, experimenting with materials and techniques and developing creative ideas.

On successful completion of the course you will gain the Edexcel BTEC Award in Visual Arts (Level 3), and you are guaranteed an interview for admission to one of the BA (Hons) Visual Arts & Design programmes at UCF.
